Uptime Robot Integration

What does Opsgenie offer Uptime Robot users?

Uptime Robot sends webhook notifications of downtime and uptime events. With the Uptime Robot integration, Opsgenie acts as a dispatcher for these alerts and determines the right people to notify based on on-call schedules– notifies via email, text messages (SMS), phone calls, and iPhone & Android push notifications, and escalates alerts until the alert is acknowledged or closed.

Functionality of the Integration

• When an alert is created in Uptime Robot, an alert is also created in Opsgenie.
• When the alert is closed in Uptime Robot, the related alert is also closed in Opsgenie.

Add Uptime Robot integration in Opsgenie

1. Please create an Opsgenie account if you haven't done so already.
2. Go to Opsgenie's Uptime Robot Integration page.

3. Specify who is notified of Uptime Robot alerts using the Teams field. Auto-complete suggestions are provided as you type.

An alternative for Step 2) and Step 3) is to add the integration from the Team Dashboard of the team which will own the integration. To add an integration directly to a team, navigate to the Team Dashboard and open Integrations tab. Click Add Integration and select the integration that you would like to add.

4. Copy the integration URL which includes the Opsgenie endpoint as well as the API key.
5. Click Save Integration.

Configuration on Uptime Robot

1. In Uptime Robot, go to My Settings page and click Add Alert Contact.
2. Select "Web-Hook" as Alert Contact Type.
3. Paste the URL copied previously into "URL to Notify".
4. Click Create Alert Contact.
5. Don't forget to check the webhook under "Alert Contacts To Notify" in monitor settings.
